Butoh Workshop

Hiroko Tamano

Butoh Master Hiroko Tamano will lead us in a dance-prayer to each of the four directions. We will embody elements corresponding to cardinal directions, North vs South, East vs West, transforming as we move through these elements.

Each opposing element affects and relates to each other, linked by the heart. Chanting a heart sutra, we will send resonating waves with the voice, finding release. In the process, you will learn the depth of your own body.

Practicing again and again, becoming entranced, finding yourself in a harmonious space.

All levels of experience are welcome. Keep up with your body’s ability.
